Free pattern: Little donut

Little patterns are my favourite patterns :). I found lots of donut patterns online, but none exactly like I wanted so I made my own!

You can use any yarn, as long as you use the right hook size. Here is how to find the right hook size for your yarn. I used cotton yarn and a 2.5mm hook and my donut is 4cm/1.5 inch in diameter.

Abbrevations

  • sc – single crochet
  • inc – increase (sc2 in one stitch)
  • dec – decrease (go from 2 stitches to one), I recommend using invisible decrease
  • slst – slip stitch
  • ch – chain
  • dc – double crochet

chain 12, join into a circle with a slipstitch
1. sc12 (12)
2. [inc, sc]6x (18)
3. [inc, sc, sc]6x (24)
4-5. sc24 (24)
6. [dec, sc, sc]6x (18)
7. [dec, sc]6x (12)
8. sc12 (12)
Finish off

Fold your donut so it looks like a donut :). Now stuff slightly and sew shut.

chain 12, join into a circle with a slipstitch
1. sc12 (12)
2. [inc, sc]6x (18)
3. [inc, sc, sc]6x (24)

Finish off

Stitch the icing on the donut and stitch on some sprinkles.
